After a 6-3 victory at home to start the season, the Lightning go on the road to face the New York Islanders.
The Tampa Bay Lightning were a Conference-worst 13-22-6 on the road last season, and though the home win over a division rivals suggests good things for this new Lightning lineup, a road tilt will be the real test of this team's fortitude.
The past two times the Lightning visited Long Island the Bolts were handled easily by Jack Capuano's club. The Islanders took a pair of 5-1 decisions over the Lightning at home last season; the Bolts won their two matchups at home as well by scores of 4-1 and 4-3.
The Islanders opened up their season on Saturday with a tough 2-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils.
Anders Lindback will get the nod in net for the Lightning again after looking solid in his debut as a Bolt and a full-time starter.
